Appirio has been known to give out a t-shirt or two over the last few years (thousands to be exact). In 2009, we started the tradition of giving our Dreamforce t-shirts with slogans like “Friends don’t let friends buy servers.” In 2010, we upped the ante by giving away the slogan t-shirts and encouraging people to wear them with $1000 cash that was given away randomly to a few people. It caused quite the stir! So in 2011, we’re upping the ante by giving away $5000 to 5 lucky people wearing our t-shirts. What?? $5,000 you say?! How do I win?

Here’s how you can win.

Step one is to pick up your t-shirt. They’re free, we promise. Go to Appirio booth #420 and ask for your t-shirt slip. Bring that slip, or your bag insert, to room #P9 (downstairs from registration) to get a t-shirt with one of these four slogans:

• To cloud or not to cloud...there is no question
• Cloud: Nothing else matters (in honor of Metallica)
• Cloud can’t fix stupid (but it sure helps)
• Does this shirt make my cloud look big

These were all crowdsourced from our internal community and Twitter followers.

Step two is to wear your shirt on Thursday. You can wear it every day if you want, but Thursday is when we’ll be giving out prizes.

You can win one of two ways:

• By getting lucky. Similar to years past we’ll be giving away $1000 to three lucky people randomly throughout the day. Be sure to follow us on Twitter, our Facebook page or on our Dreamforce Chatter group for tips on where we’ll be giving out the cash.
• By getting social. In honor of Dreamforce’s social enterprise theme, we’ve created another way to win the money. Simply find or gather as large of a group as possible of people wearing Appirio t-shirts, take a photo and post it to our Chatter page. We’ll be selecting the two individuals who post the picture with the most people and awarding them $1000 each. Feel free to get creative. If there’s a tie, the winner will be chosen based on creativity.
